Where it all began

Have you ever been frustrated with a service you were paying for and said, “I could do this better myself?”

US, TOO!

Years ago, we hired a company and outsourced our IT needs, but we were getting very little in return.  When something wasn’t working, we would call our vendor (yeah, we don’t like that term either, but that is the level of relationship we had with them) and someone would attempt to fix our problem. We would hang up and not hear from them until we had something else break down.  We wanted an IT provider who would be proactive and bring preventative tools to us. And yes, we wanted them to think they were a partner of ours at AdamsGabbert. After trying several IT outsourcing companies, we decided since our specialty was IT already, we would build a service that would take care of IT needs of small and midsize businesses (like ours) and do it better.

Five years ago, we invested in really smart people, great systems, and a promise to take care of people like others often don’t. Since then, we have built a strong foundation of amazing customers where we have either become their IT department, or we help support their existing IT team. Either way, we become their partner, and often their friends.  Because of our growth, we decided it was time to name our tech services group.

Purpose can be thought of as your reason for being and defines the contribution you want to make to the world (community, others). It connects you with something bigger than yourself by helping you focus on a larger good.

Welcome to Purpose Technology Group (TG) where connections beyond tech is not only our name, but why we take care of our clients in ways that others don’t.

You probably have vendors who provide a product or service for your business and do a good job. However, when you have a partner who supports your business, you can feel the difference.

We start by getting to know you and your business, not just your IT needs. Then we can introduce tools to simplify your systems, consolidate existing processes, while always looking for ways to make your business more secure.

We take the guesswork out of your IT needs. We make sure we align our partnership expectations. We clarify metrics and accountabilities, so no one is confused about who does what. Ultimately, we create a partnership, and often friendships along the way.

We started an IT outsourcing service because we couldn’t find a company that went beyond reacting when we called them. No surprise, we feel strongly about this.

Being a proactive IT partner means we bring ideas to you, not wait for you to ask. Cyber breaches are relentless and ever-changing. We pay attention to the latest ways to minimize your risks. We work with you to ensure your critical information is backed up to allow for a quick recovery if needed. We can manage your licenses, hardware, and software so you don’t end up with unsupported equipment. And so much more, so you can run your business.

There is a big difference between reactive and responsive. Anyone can react when contacted, but if there is quick and thoughtful action that fixes the short-term need and addresses the long-term cause, you win.

Behind the scenes, when you aren’t even working, we are monitoring your IT.

We catch – and prevent – many potential issues before they impact you.  Of course this includes security to help protect your IT, but it also includes much more. For example, we might let you know that a specific computer’s hard drive will be full in 2 weeks and options for how you want to handle that before you have slower performance. Or if you have a server, and capacity is at 5%, we offer solutions to help you in advance of finding out by a warning message that is too late.

WHEN YOU SNOOZE, WE DON’T.
