Making Technology Less Frustrating since 2017

A diverse group of people gathered in a modern, industrial-style office space with large windows, hanging lights, and a large screen displaying the word 'PURPOSE' along with 'TECHNOLOGY GROUP' underneath. The group is smiling and posing for the photo.

Since 2017, our team has been delivering managed IT services to organizations across Kansas City and beyond. As our vision for a more people centered, purpose-driven technology company evolved, we saw an opportunity to build something new. In January 2025, Purpose Technology Group became an independent company, carrying forward the experience, relationships, and expertise we had spent years developing.

Today, we're combining that established foundation with a fresh perspective on what an IT partner should be: proactive, human, and deeply invested in the success of our clients and our community.

Partnership with a Pulse

In a sea of MSP sameness, PURPOSE Technology Group stands apart in how we show up.

We are a woman-owned managed services IT company in Kansas City, working with organizations whose success is measured in metrics other than margin. Our name tells you most of what you need to know about how we make decisions.

To get to the point, let us save you some time. Nearly every managed IT provider in Kansas City can monitor your network, patch your systems, run a help desk, and sell you security tools. If a provider tells you their service list is what sets them apart, they are describing the industry, not themselves.

What actually varies between providers is judgment, honesty, and deep understanding of exceptional service. Those are harder to put on a comparison chart, so most companies do not try. We would rather explain ourselves plainly and let you decide.

In front of the wall, a brown dog with curly fur and wearing a green bandana is sitting on a beige couch, looking towards the camera with its mouth open. A potted plant and some decor items are positioned against the wall, and part of an open doorway is visible on the right side.

Small enough to care.
Big enough to deliver.

You probably have vendors who provide a product or service for your business and do a good job. However, when you have a partner who supports your business, you can feel the difference.

Before we design anything, we sit with your team and learn how they actually work. Which tools they love, which ones they don’t, where the day gets stuck. Technology decisions made without that context produce systems that are technically correct and practically miserable. We have inherited enough of those to know.

That is what we mean by the human operating system. Your organization runs on people first and infrastructure second, and the infrastructure only earns its keep when it makes the people better.
