We invest in KC

it's home

Community is one of our four obsessions. Here is what that actually looks like.

A sense of belonging shapes how we live, work, and give back. That belief is easy to put on a values page and harder to put on a calendar or a balance sheet, so this page reports what we actually did rather than what we believe. Money, space, time, and showing up.

Five Ways We Show Up

We give a share of what we earn

1

In 2025 we gave back over 15% of our profits to Kansas City nonprofits. Not 15% of a marketing budget, and not an in-kind figure calculated generously. Fifteen percent of what the company earned, returned to organizations doing work in this city and we will continue to do so.

We open our doors

When we put down roots in the Crossroads Arts District, we built more space than we needed. The Purpose Workshop is our event space, designed for teams and organizations who value intentional connection, with warm finishes and flexible layouts meant to make people show up differently than they do in a conference room.

Nonprofits (501(c)(3) have the opportunity to use it at no cost. Board retreats, donor events, volunteer training, staff planning days, community gatherings. We are not renting you a room at a discount; we are handing you the keys to a space we built, because these organizations should not have to choose between a decent venue and a program line item.

We match what our team gives

Our people give to causes they care about, and we match those donations dollar for dollar, up to $500 per employee each year. Eligible donations start at $25 and go to any 501(c)(3) doing charitable, educational, health, cultural, civic, environmental, or humanitarian work. Matches are paid directly to the nonprofit.

The design is deliberate. We do not pick the causes. Our team does, and the company follows their lead. Our giving reaches places a leadership committee would never have thought to look, which is rather the point.

3

We give time, which is harder than giving money

4

Writing a check takes an afternoon. Board service takes years. Our people sit on nonprofit boards and committees, volunteer with organizations across the metro, and give professional time to groups that need technology help they could not otherwise afford. It is unglamorous, ongoing work that happens on evenings and weekends, and we back the people here who take it on.

We are also members of Non-Profit Connect and the Crossroads Community Association, which matters less for the membership than for showing up to the things members show up to.

We show up in the Crossroads

Our home sits in the middle of one of Kansas City's best traditions, so we open the doors for First Fridays and immerse ourselves in the community. Good people, good tech, good company.
